Tragedy - Brandi Carlile

Brandi Carlile nasce em 1982 e cresce numa vila a alguns quilómetros de Seattle. Embora os seus pais não fossem músicos, tinham uma grande paixão pela música e foi com este gosto, principalmente por Country, que cativaram a filha. Como não haviam muitas pessoas na comunidade onde vivia, Brandi teve de aprender a divertir-se sozinha, envolvendo-se na natureza e cantando para passar o tempo. Com 17 anos pega na guitarra, influenciada pelo Rock dos discos dos anos 70 de Elton John e não volta a parar de cantar. (…) Em 2007 edita o disco The Story e atinge maior reconhecimento. Torna-se bastante mediática com participação em vários programas televisivos e pela inclusão de duas das suas canções (The story e Tragedy) na série Anatomia de Grey.
